Hay storage is one of the most critical applications for a steel barn in the Pacific Northwest. Wet hay is a fire hazard and a financial loss, and traditional wood barns deteriorate rapidly from the moisture cycle of storing hay. Our galvanized steel panel systems resist moisture penetration and do not absorb the ammonia from livestock waste the way wood does. Lean-to additions are one of the most requested options — a lean-to can extend the covered area by 10 to 20 feet on one or both sides, creating run-in areas for livestock, additional equipment storage, or covered hay staging.

Door sizing is engineered for real agricultural equipment. Our 14×14 roll-up doors on larger models accommodate most mid-size tractors and combines without mirror folding. For oversized equipment, custom door heights up to 16 feet are available. Open-sided configurations — where one or more walls are left open or fitted with removable panels — are popular for structures that need ventilation for livestock comfort or grain drying.
